Welcome to the after party!

Bachelor's Cyclone Graduation Celebrations at Jack Trice Stadium:

Bachelor's Cyclone Graduation Celebration at Hilton Colisum:

College of Engineering Cyclone Graduation Celebration moving to Hilton Coliseum with an updated start time of 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 8th.

Due to inclement weather forecasted for Saturday afternoon, Iowa State University’s Cyclone Graduation Celebration honoring students in the College of Engineering will move to Hilton Coliseum and now start at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8th. Engineering graduates should use the north entrance of Hilton Coliseum. Friends and family can enter through the south and west entrances. Doors to the arena will open at 3:30 p.m., which is also when graduates will begin checking in.

All other undergraduate celebrations will take place at Jack Trice Stadium as scheduled. A reminder that umbrellas and ponchos are allowed inside the stadium. A livestream is available to view the events.

A record number of students plan to attend the outdoor celebrations this spring. To accommodate all students and their guests, it is not possible to move all the celebrations indoors while maintaining Cyclones Care protocols for capacity.

This series of separate events will be modified from the traditional commencement ceremony, but will include:

  • A shorter-than-usual program to officially confer the degrees
  • The reading of individual names as graduates cross the stage wearing academic attire
  • Formal graduation photographs

We do not anticipate needing to limit guest attendance. All graduates and guests will be required to wear face coverings and practice physical distancing
